Global purpose

Nuway Capital sees that growth must drive global purpose and sustainable commitments.
For too long, traditional growth strategies have sacrificed long-term purpose for immediate gain.  Nuway Capital doesn’t subscribe to this model. Today, any credible approach must see profit and loss in terms beyond purely financial considerations.

We see this ‘beyond’ as our purpose — as we seek to support people and the planet.

Our commitment: GPUs

Nuway Capital embeds sustainable business across operations. We always seek the most sustainable suppliers and in terms of our portfolio growth opportunities:

GPU cloud computing: our GPU partnership sees us take advantage of the highest performing Tier 3 data centres. It is a sign of our commitment to sustainable operations, with GPU infrastructure up to 26 times more energy efficient than traditional CPU infrastructure.

Cloud computing GPUs are also powering AI, which the World Economic Forum reports will have a significant impact on efforts to tackle climate change.  GPU-powered AI, for example, can identify and predict ice melt, map deforestation and help to clean the oceans.

Our commitment: public sector unit trusts

By supporting government initiatives, Nuway Capital seeks to deliver growth while bringing benefit to wider society.  Working with ZSI and  Oak Group means that individuals can support a range of initiatives that include enhanced education, healthcare and renewable energy projects — as well as other areas designed to improve communities, such as social housing.

Our commitment: gold

Nuway Capital  works with Goldstream Global – a partner that shares our commitment to responsible and sustainable gold production. Goldstream Global works closely with local communities to promote fair health, safety, and security strategies, reduce energy consumption and minimise carbon footprint throughout the supply chain. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles inform responsible sourcing and operational excellence.

Goldstream Global maintains, for example, rigorous internal and regulatory standards to ensure compliance with international protocols, including Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Responsible Sourcing of Precious Metals. Comprehensive risk management strategies safeguard transactions and uphold client trust.

Working with purpose for people and planet

The Nuway Foundation is an initiative that aims to bring opportunities to safeguard the environment and communities, initially in the UK. As we grow, we have plans to expand the global scope and scale of the Foundation.

In the Foundation’s early phases we are working  with UK-based organisations that bring environmental and social benefits. We have launched the Foundation with partnerships with Surfers Against Sewage and Be-Intrinsic.

The voice of the ocean

The Nuway Foundation is partnering with Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) – to become “the voice of the ocean”. Our membership of SAS’s Ocean Network supports a range of initiatives designed to clean the UK’s rivers and seas, including:

  • Education projects that reach over 1.4 million pupils in more than 3,600 UK schools – giving the next generation of citizens the information and tools they need to take action on plastic waste and water pollution.

  • Funding petitions to lobby policy-makers. SAS’s ‘ Dirty Money’ petition, for example, secured over 170,000 signatures from members of the public demanding action to stop  water companies profiting from pollution.

  • Support for the Million Mile Clean campaign. In 2023 alone, the campaign removed nearly 90,000 kg of rubbish supported by over 93,000 volunteers.

  • Support for over 50 communities to gain designation for their rivers and bathing areas.

  • Support to close to a thousand towns and cities as they seek to become Plastic Free Communities.

Creative opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people

The Nuway Foundation is working with Be-Intrinsic– a social enterprise that brings access to creative arts for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. It aims to develop communication skills and confidence –through, for example, the visual arts and digital media.

The Foundation’s partnership with Be-Intrinsic will see members of the Nuway Capital team provide consultancy and share relevant experience with young people. More widely, we support Be-Intrinsic  initiatives that include:

  • Lord of the pens: an artist-led, creative writing and spoken word project that aims to enhance young people’s skills in writing, self-expression and poetry performance.

  • Revolving doors: a creative writing ‘flash fiction’ workshop, where participants create their own stories in 1,000 words – and focused on children in social care.

  • Isolationships: supports young people’s emotional and mental health well-being through group discussions, peer-to-support and motivational approaches.

  • Tootbox media: a programme that gives young people the chance to learn about acting, directing, filming, post-production, videography and editing.
